About Carolina Morning
Since 1985 Carolina Morning™ has helped thousands of people around the world to turn their homes, offices, bedrooms and yoga spaces into healing sanctuaries. Our simple organic bedroom and living room furniture, office furniture, and eco yoga/meditation props are designed with the best natural materials, including organic cotton, eco-wool, chemical-free kapok, buckwheat hulls, sustainably harvested hardwoods, and non-toxic finishes.
Our expert design team has spent over thirty years evolving an eclectic, minimalist line of modular furniture and meditation props with powerful health-enhancing qualities not found anywhere else.
Our designs are inspired from traditional wisdom cultures such as Yogic, Taoist, Zen and Native American who used the floor to create simple and elegant surroundings. We have developed a line of meditation and yoga props as well as minimalist modular furniture based on these same traditions. On our quest for a simpler life and safer environment we became pioneers in what is now the Green Building movement.
This design approach provides a different comfort that goes much deeper. Our products help you get in touch with your body, harnessing the power of breath and prana/chi/kundalini, to bring you closer to the earth and source/spirit.
We are a small business operating in Western North Carolina in a community called the South Toe River Valley or Celo. You get a sense of the beautiful place where we live in the painting that decorates our website, as well as our office. Painted by a friend to show many of our products, it depicts an actual place–the Cade’s Mountain Farm, which resides a short distance from Carolina Morning, and is a part of the South Toe community. The beautiful Black Mountain Range is seen in the distance. This quality of mind and heart is the inspiration for meditation and for finding our own inner balance. We feel that harmony with nature, growing food without chemicals, and connecting with the land are a part of the solution to finding inner peace.
We are located on Highway 80 South, right outside of Burnsville and 50 miles north of Asheville, North Carolina. It’s a beautiful drive to see us, and we love visitors. Call to make an appointment (828-675-0490), visitors are welcome between 10-4.
